Picard Reinforces the ERC
German ice hockey champion ERC Ingolstadt has taken Alexandre Picard under contract. The 29-year-old defender comes from Swiss top association Gottéron, where he last worked in the try-out. Picard brings experience of 253 NHL-matches (19 goals, 50 passes) to the Danube and is to stabilise the defence of the fourth-ranking association. "I am happy to be part of ERC Ingolstadt," said the Franco-Canadian when signing the contract. "I had several offers from the DEL, but the ERC is just perfect for me." Picard (1.89 metres, 95 kilograms) hopes to already play against the Eisbären Berlin (4.30 PM, Saturn Arena) this weekend.
