Information for away-fans

Dear fans of all of Europe and the world,

we would like to provide you some basic information for your travel to Ingolstadt. This is the first part, a second one with recommendations for sight-seeing and ideas on how to have a great time in Ingolstadt will follow.

Tickets

Tickets for our home-games in the Champions Hockey League are now in sale. The pure fan-section for away-supporters is section N. Tickets are availible under www.erc-ingolstadt.de/tickets or at the ticket booth in front of the rink.

Hotels

There are several nice hotels in Ingolstadt and its suburbs. We would like to recommend you the following ones: Only a stone’s throw away from the stadium Saturn Arena and close the historic city centre: Enso Hotel ( http://www.enso-hotel.de/hotel/index.php ). Kult Hotel is also quite close to the rink and offers nice ambient ( http://www.kult-hotel.de/ ). Altstadthotel is set in the heart of the historic city centre ( http://www.altstadthotel-ingolstadt.de/ ).
For friends of Spa, we can also recommend Parkhotel Heidehof ( http://www.parkhotel-heidehof.de/default.aspx ). Hotel Günter is in Lenting, a suburb of Ingolstadt, and makes you feel welcome ( http://www.hotel-guenter.de/ ).

Arrival

There is an international airport in Munich and another one in Nuremberg.
The typical way to travel in Germany is by car. You could rent one at the airports, the common international and national car-rentals have offices there.
If you prefer to take the public transports, Germany offers a decent railroad system. You can take the metro and trains from the airports to Ingolstadt ( http://www.bahn.de/i/view/GBR/en/index.shtml ).
Last but not least, there is also an airport express bus from and to Munich which saves you quite some time ( schedule: http://www.invg.de/resources/pdf/AE_Plan_2013_Juli_29.pdf ).

In Ingolstadt, you can take public busses or a bike to get around and see the city.

See you in Ingolstadt! We are looking forward to meeting you in the heart of Bavaria.
